The Frying Pan at Pier 66a

New York Outrigger is proud to announce the Liberty Luau on the Hudson River along the newly renovated Hudson River Park. The Liberty Luau officially closes the 2009 Liberty World Outrigger Competition to be held on Saturday, June 27.


The Liberty 2009 Luau will be held at The Frying Pan located at Pier 66a in the Hudson River Park at 12th Avenue and West 26th Street. The luau will take place between 6:30pm-Midnight. Liberty paddlers gain free admission. All are welcome. Non-paddlers can purchase tickets in advance during race registration and at the welcome table during the race at Brooklyn Bridge Park for $20. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $30.

Admission will include a luau buffet dinner and Coors and Heartland Brewery beer while supplies last.

Entertainment will include a performance by members of New Hope Canoe Club and Polynesian Dance Productions.

Raffle tickets will also be sold during the night, at race registration and during the race. The drawing will occur between 9:00-9:30pm. You need not be present to claim your prize (please make sure your contact information is on the raffle ticket). Prizes include sunglasses from Maui Jim Sunglasses, apparel from Patagonia Sports and more.
