TO RESTORE THE HUDSON RIVER & ADDRESS CLIMATE CHANGE

Saturday May 21 (raindate: Sunday May 22) Downtown section of the Hudson River Park

The spectacular Water Dance of Boats & Harmonic Chant Concert closing ceremony combines on-the-river boat choreography by the Bessie award-winning Alice Farley, and David Hykes and the over-the-river concert by renowned composer-singer with The Harmonic Choir. The choreography includes 30-foot rowboats festooned with spectacular marine-life sculptures and costumed kayaks performing a dance movement on the water. Boat participants/partners include: Village Community Boathouse, NY Kayak Company & The Harbor School.

Earth Celebrations’ Hudson River Pageant is an ecological performance art event engaging youth & community to restore the Hudson River’s native species & habitats & address climate change In New York City. The event featured a parade of spectacular costumes, giant puppets, and live musical bands, with 13-site specific performances along the piers and significant sites, celebrating the history, current issues, and future restoration of the river. Featuring: Oyster Planting, River Cleansing, Live Fish Release & Boat Dance.
