Hudson River Park
Hudson River Park Trust has been instrumental in helping New York Outrigger grow. Taking what were formerly deteriorating piers on the west side of Manhattan along the Hudson River, the Trust has managed to redevelop the West Side into one of Manhattan's most cherished waterfront parks. Filled with walkways, lawns and amenities, Hudson River Park is now drawing many residents back to the Hudson River waterfront. New York Outrigger is proud to ally with their mission to provide local residents access to the Hudson River through the Pier 66 Boathouse facility. Hudson River Park Trust is a partnership between New York State and City charged with the design, construction and operation of the five-mile Hudson River Park. It is the largest open space project to undergo construction in Manhattan since the completion of Central Park. As a public benefit corporation, Hudson River Park Trust is governed by a thirteen-member Board of Directors. The Trust employs a focused, diverse staff with experience in parks, design, finance, public policy, operations and maintenance.
Pier 66 Maritime
The late John Krevey and his family have been unfailing supporters of New York Outrigger since it's inception in 1996. Their support allowed New York Outrigger to be one of the first water-oriented recreational organizations to be established on the Hudson River. Their continued generosity helps to bolster New York Outrigger to new heights. The mission of Pier 66 Maritime is to bring people to the waterfront. They are also dedicated to the preservation of the historic hudson river and ships. They are a member of numerous historic ship groups and active in the waterfront community. Pier 66 Maritime is also home to the Light Ship Frying Pan and the retired NYC Fire Boat, John J Harvey. They are open to the public, so come on down and experience the history of NYC's amazing waterway!
