The John Krevey Paddler Grant
New York Outrigger is proud to offer the John Krevey Paddler Grant. The grant is named in memory of NYO’s greatest benefactor, John Krevey, who was an early champion of New York’s waterways and leader in the redevelopment of Manhattan’s west side. Today, John’s family continues his mission to bring cultural and political awareness to our city’s rivers through their support of numerous nonprofit groups and waterfront coalitions.
The John Krevey Paddler Grant is offered on an annual basis to members of our community who might otherwise have financial difficulty accessing our waterways. The grant includes membership in NYO and waiver of all fees associated with participating in ECORA regattas. New Yorkers interested in applying for the John Krevey Paddler Grant can submit an application below, including an essay of 1000 to 4000 words describing how they would benefit from receiving the grant. Applications can be sent to outreach@newyorkoutrigger.org or fill out the form on John Krevey Paddler page.
Membership related questions can be directed to membership@newyorkoutrigger.org
